BridgeToWords is a small, independently-run translation service. This page explains what happens to your information when you use it.
What we collect
The text you submit for translation, your email address, and basic payment information — handled entirely by Stripe, we never see or store your card details.
Why we collect it
To provide the translation service you're paying for: pricing your order, processing payment, producing your translation, and delivering it to you.
Who sees your text
You; a human translator, a native Spanish speaker, who reviews and corrects the translation before it's delivered; and our payment processor (Stripe) and hosting provider (Cloudflare), who process it on our behalf to run the service.
Our translator is not located in the European Union. This means your text is transferred outside the EU as part of the translation process. We only share what's necessary for the translation itself.
How long we keep your text
We delete your submitted text and the working files used to produce your translation shortly after delivery — there's no reason to keep them once the job is done.
The one exception: if you order again, our translator keeps your previous delivered translations on file, so your voice and terminology stay consistent across orders. We only keep what we already delivered to you — nothing extra. If you'd rather we didn't, or you don't plan on ordering again, just ask and we'll delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to see what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to us and we'll handle it directly — this is a small operation, not a form to fill in.
A note on third parties in your text
If your text mentions other real people — family, friends, anyone identifiable — that's your call as the author, but please don't include anything about them you wouldn't want processed and translated by someone else. By submitting your text, you confirm you have the right to have it translated, including anything it says about other people.
